The Outpost is the general theme of the Vesper Defense Outpost in Metroid Prime Hunters. The Outpost was composed by Lawrence Schwedler.

This theme transitions into Watching as Samus explores the later portions of the VDO on her second visit. However, The Outpost permanently replaces that theme after she acquires the second Octolith from the VDO. It is also available as track 20 in the game's Music Test after defeating Gorea's second form.

The Outpost is a comparatively upbeat theme, and its instruments include electric keyboards, militaristic drum rhythms, and pipe organs. The organs in particular make this piece stand out from the rest of the soundtrack, with this instrument being very rarely featured in the Metroid series.
