Unidentified Life Form 22 is an unknown species of insect with a red/blue body, white markings, and small wings. When killed, it explodes in a burst of blue blood. This suggests that Phazon spread through the Thorn Jungle and Cliffside much faster than anywhere else. Many can be seen flying about in the skies of Bryyo in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. If Samus Aran kills enough from a distance, they fly close to her and she can examine them up close. Collision with them causes no damage at all.
