I consider myself no stranger to Metroid-- My first video game was Super Metroid when I was only a small child, and I have been obsessed ever since. I have also completed nearly every Metroid games with 100%, and do hold a 37 min speed run record on Metroid Zero Mission! (The only one I haven't completed is Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, due to the fact that I don't have a Wii. I have played mostly through MP3, but the Wii I used is owned by one of my relatives, & I don't live with this person.)
But don't ever get me wrong. I am a very, very, very hardcore Metroid fan. If you're some 14-year old newbie, and you get in an argument over a Metroid-related subject with me, it's very possible that you're wrong. If you have over 10 years of experience with Metroid like I do, then I'll consider your point of view with respect and good faith. If you have more Metroid experience than I do, then I'd love to be an acquaintance of yours. If you got into Metroid through either Metroid Prime Hunters or Metroid Prime 3: Corruption less than 2 years ago, it will be very hard for you to win my respect.

I am almost always sitting somewhere in the world drawing Samus. I have studied many pre-existing artwork pieces of her to an extreme detail, so I mostly draw her in complex poses and angles. Many of my acquaintances do talk highly of them, but I'm just too bashful to brag of them. I do wish I had a scanner, so I could show some of my pieces. For now, you will only have my banners and logos to judge my artistic value.
I have also written and illustrated around 5 Metroid comics, all inspired by certain situations in the Metroid timeline. (My favorite being a comic I did of the battle between Samus & Ridley in the beginning of Super Metroid.)
I am also in the process of writing a fanfiction adaptation of Metroid Dread, but if Nintendo announces that they will publicly continue the cancelled game's development, I will halt production on mine.
Mainly, the story is about Samus being betrayed by the Galactic Federation, and how they still have Metroid Breeding Programs strewn across the galaxy. They've been experimenting with Metroids in a similar manner as Space Pirates, and are constructing a biomechanical Metroid Weapon with the codename, "Dread" (No affiliation with the MP3 in-game joke). Samus stumbles across information of this weapon when she is infiltrating a federation space station for fuel, and sets out to stop this weapon from seeing the light of day. It will send Samus through a journey to her roots, such as the Planet Jiglard, her federation police comrades, and messages left by Old Bird himself. (This fanfiction heavily borrows from elements present in the Metroid E-manga.)

I've made major contributions to the Alpha Metroid, Gamma Metroid, Zeta Metroid, Omega Metroid, and Metroid Queen pages. Most Metroid fans aren't familiar with Metroid II: Return of Samus, but I've laid down some good tactics should you encounter these creatures in the universe...
I've also loosely contributed to most of the Metroid Fusion bosses in many different ways.

(6/3/08) I cropped a picture of the Power Suit from artwork today. I had to outline the entire power suit with white in the paint program. It was not fun, but I think the picture better suits the Power Suit page than that cell-shaded Metroid Zero Mission thing.
(6/5/08) Today, I have finished the painstaking process of uploading and adding official artwork for EVERY enemy in Metroid II: Return of Samus. Did I mention that I cut every picture from a really big collection of art?
(6/8/08) Today, I have provided a map for every area in Metroid Fusion, including all sectors and the Main Deck. It wasn't as excruciating as the Metroid II: Return of Samus enemies, but it was a little cumbersome to do.
(6/9/08) Today, I have provided updated images for the life cycle stages of the metroid. The old ones had several errors & were badly cropped from wherever they were obtained. The new ones are much better.
(6/15/08) Today, I created the page for the Gold Statue that appears in Super Metroid. I think it's a welcome addition to the selection of articles, & I'm just hoping that there isn't already an existing page for the thing. Sound like featured article material to anybody, hmm?
(6/22/08) I have completed the Power Suit Mechanics article!! That thing took 3 hours to compile. I hope all of you are really happy! (And I hope you don't butcher it too much...)
(7/4/08) I have uploaded images for every alternate form for Hunters in Metroid Prime Hunters today. Pretty easy to do, and very pleasing results.
(7/15/08) I completed the Fusion Suit Mechanics page, finally! This page has a lot of information on it, so please enjoy. It goes in depth about how some of the mechanisms in the suit work, and highlights several features of the suit too. That page peaks in letters at over 16,000.
(8/09/08) I uploaded new images for every Metroid II creature. It didn't take nearly as long as the first time, though.

 You may not notice it, but this image's background is transparent. I was banking on it winning the logo contest, so that it would go well with the light blue spot on the Main Page. |
