Home Planet: SR388

My Crumbling WorldEdit

Raised as a normal Chozo, I grew in the deep caves of SR388 until becoming an experimented scientist and designer. I helped in the engineering of the Metroids.

I won't reveal all of my past.

But our world colapsed after we, the Chozo, where wiped out of the planet's caves. Horrid was the chaos the Metroids caused, and I narrowly escaped the genocide in an ancient gunship and leaved SR388. My crumbling world of science and experimentation came to an end. When this dark event happened, I was still young. Young, and inexperienced. For some days I even panicked inside the gunship while it rotated around SR388. I was the sole survivor.

The remembrance of my brothers and sisters being drained to death by the Metroids won't fade away. No matter how I try, no matter how I make an effort... its pointless and useless. In a cloud of despair, I landed back in SR388 in order to obtain an old Chozo Power Suit, being kept in one of the deepest rooms in the planet. Though it is an old power suit model, it is very upgradeable and adaptable

Battling with hordes of Metroids, I finally reached the room and obtained the Power Suit. While going up to the surface, I upgraded it with all the items that I could find. My objective was clear; travel along the galaxy to upgrade my Power Suit to the maximum, exterminate the Metroids in SR388 and in the rest of the galaxy. Though it is a hard mission, I am determinated to fulfill my last revenge.

The ExtinctionEdit

After I obtained my precious Power Suit, I decided to travel to Zebes, where I could have obtain more upgrades and perhaps recieve help from the other Chozos there. But I cannot forget the dissapointment and frenzy I felt when landing in Zebes. My people was annihilated by the Space Pirates and settled a base in our home. Words can't describe the intense hatred that was born inside my heart back then. I relentlessly assailed every Space Pirate I encountered there. Fortunately, I was able to destroy the base construction site in the lower parts of Brinstar before I got caught. I kept investigating the caves and found more upgrades, but, interestingly, I didn't found just upgrades. I found some Chozo scriptures and a diagram of an organic supercomputer named "Mother Brain". Unbeknownst to me, Mother Brain, one more creation of the Chozo, was already planning against me. Inmedeately after I scanned the diagram and saved it in my personal logbook, the filthy Space Pirates caught me and disabled my weapons. A hunt squad was sent to trap me and take me to Mother.

And hunt they did. They coldly savaged me and deactivated my power suit. Space Pirates are a pest in this universe. Nothing more but mere scum. My power suit was taken to the Outskirts of the ruins of Chozodia, and left it there. They took me and made me a slave. But my time there wouldn't last long... after some days the Space Pirates decided to make me fight to death in a colliseum located in Lower Norfair... against Ridley. I remember well that place. I truly thought that was going to be my tomb. A single platform, sustained by two small columns that can easily be destroyed by Morph Ball Bombs, floating on a pool of lava, whose red and dead light painted the walls like fire itself. Other bigger columns where near the walls, merely for decoration. The Pirates tossed me in the center of the colliseum, leaving me disarmed and unarmored. My chances of eliminating Ridley didn't existed anymore. A big bunch of that wirthless specie went to that grubby colliseum to watch how Ridley would slaughter me and probably impale my rotting corpse in a stake and put it in Crateria, as a warning for other... visitors. Ridley now came, flying like a gust, the whole audience rised in uproar and thirst of Chozo blood. Right there, right in that moment, I finally understood Space Pirate nature. It's all about the morbid, loathsome feeling of joy about life's destruction. I believe the Space Pirates are a species as worhty of extinction such as the Metroids.

Ridley landed violently in the floor, cracking the floor. A furious roar came out of Ridley's throat, while he was looking at me with dead, glowing eyes. He lunged at me and took my small body with his hardened tail. For some seconds he spoke to me...

"The last Chozo on Zebes! Hahaha! And now I have the pleasure to kill you myself in front of my troops!"

I could hardly answer because Ridley's tail was clenching me and actually broke my ribs gradually...

"R-Ridley...! I may b-be... the last... the last Ch-Chozo on Zebes... But I will never be... your last... enemy. You.. will die!"

"GAH!! What can a scum like you do?? Our plan is succesful!! We have harvested Metroids!!!"

For a moment a detestable chill ran all over my pained body. Metroids... here??

"WHAT?! YOU HARVESTED METROIDS HERE??"

"HAHAHA! YES, AND WE ARE GOING TO USE THEM AS BIOWEAPONS! THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE THAT!!!"

"NO!!! I CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN!" I uselessly tried to set myself free from Ridley's grip, but I just ended up breaking more of my bones.

"AS I SAID, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ! WE'VE TAKEN ALL YOU CHOZOS HAVE TO OFFER... AND NOW... I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!"

Ridley now grabbed my head, wanting to tear it away from my body. The audience, still in a huge hustle, where asking relentlessly for blood. But all of a sudden, unbelievably unexpected, the alarms all around the Space Pirate Fortress where ringing. The shivery sound made everyone stop, even Ridley. Some other Space Pirates came, proclaiming that the Metroids, being harvested in Tourian, where in a rampage, and started killing personnel, thus they asked for reinforcements. Every Pirate that was a couple of seconds ago admiring my execution, was now running away to Tourian. Ridley dropped me and started to brutally command the troopers. I could hardly talk to Ridley...

"This is what happens.... when you play with Metroids... you fools..."

Ridley turned at me with an evidently mad face, and growled to me while spitting fire:

"Shut up, you worthless being. I'm not done with you yet" Two Space Pirates roughly grabbed me, while Ridley commanded them to bring me with him. We went to Tourian, where Ridley commanded the defense outpost. They had me watching all the slaughter, although it didn't annoyed me. Metroids vs. Space Pirates... I hope they both die. Fortunately, the Space Pirates didn't lasted. In some minutes, the battle turned against them and the commanders, Ridley included, where in confusion. The Pirates that where watching me got distracted. In all the rampage and turmoil, I had a slight chance of escaping. I succesfully ran away, and few Pirates noticed me. They alerted other Space Pirates, but they couldn't leave the outpost, otherwise the attempts to contain the Metroids would fail. I ran all the way up to Crateria, but with some of my bones broken, it was a deadly runaway. My stamina was already low. When I finally reached Crateria, I inmedeately went to the Outskirts of Chozodia. I frantically searched for my power suit, and fortunately found it. Once I equipped it, I went to my gunship and left Zebes.

Corruption Is The Path to EvolutionEdit

After my bitter encounter with the Pirates, I decided to travel now to Tallon IV, another planet that was home to the Chozo. Even though I knew that no Chozos where living there back then, I decided to go in order to obtain more upgrades and investigate the reason of our extinction there. By the time I landed on the overworldly lands, I could smell something in the air... something hostile and sentient. I could feel a presence in the place... one that may be familiar, but was far from being warm and loving, like families are. This entity was cold, and corrupted. But the worse thing is that I didn't realized the danger that it represented then.

I ventured into the Chozo Ruins first, scanning lore. Melancholic was the atmosphere... It is not easy to walk around observing leftovers of your people... your civilization... your home. Observing what's left of the genocide. Observing sad stories in the walls, explaining how calamity fell upon them. Stupid I was, for I was uncautious. I curiously ventured into a temple, where a surprise was waiting for me. It was definitely her. The presence I felt in the moment of my landing. A corrupted Chozo... commonly called Chozo Ghost. For a moment a fear surrounded my abdomen. Me and the Ghost stared at each other for some seconds. I could notice that the Ghost was a female. A strange interest aroused within me. Although she was corrupted and was mutated, It could evidently be seen that she was a beautiful being, for some admirable features could still be contemplated. The room was in complete silence, until other Ghosts appeared around. Unlike the poor female Ghost, they where aggressive. It looks like their presence disturbed the female Ghost, for it started screaming. The Ghosts ruthlessly lacerated me, shooting bursts of pure energy. My Wave Beam and Plasma Beam didn't seem to work, only the power beam. Hard it was to face them, for I did not had any X-Ray Visor, wich is the only way of observing a cloaked Ghost. The interesting female Chozo attacked me too, but she looked confused. I had to strike back. I started shooting the Ghosts, but I tried to avoid confrontations with the female. I didn't kill them, but I did drive them away. The reason of their corruption was obviously Phazon. The filthy toxin from far away. But I promised myself I won't kill any Chozo, even if they are corrupted. Life, no matter in what condition it is, must be respected. The only kind of life form that is worthy of destruction is the one that is self aware of itself and of its actions, yet decides to kill other life forms, or, the one that is not self-aware, but represents a huge threat for general life in the universe. Those Chozos did not chose to be that way. They are mere victims, victims of the corruption. Deep inside me, I felt pity and sympathy for them. I wondered if I would see them again.

After that, I kept investigating the planet, but I did not encountered the Ghosts again. I now entered to the ice-covered drifts. But curiously, I found some ruins of something more than just Chozo ruins. I found other debris from alien origin. The more I was investigating the planet, the worse the panorama was getting. Some days already passed since I first landed on the planet. I, now, entered into an area that resembled a colliseum, for it was round. wich there was no way out except some magnetic rails which can be climbed with the Spider Ball. In the center of the place, there was nothing more but rocks, with high traces of Phazon. I walked closer to the rocks, but the result was terrible. The inanimate rocks rised from the ground, forming a strange body. The Phazon became its soul. I did not think twice. I ran away, leaving the monster in the room. Horribly, I found that Space Pirates settled here and are now investigating ways to use Phazon as a way to enhance their soldiers. The alien ruins I found earlier are likely failed space pirate construction sites. I secretly investigated where the space pirate bases where located around Tallon IV, and discovered their Phazon mines. I sneaked from the drifts to the mines, planning an attack. Inmedeately after I arrived to the mines, I iniciated a relentless assault. The Pirates, obviously, turned on the alarms and I battled mobs of Pirates. But curiously, some Chozo Ghosts suddenly appeared, and started attacking the Space Pirates. Between them was the female. We could not slay all the Space Pirates, for a supercorrupted Space Pirate, Omega class, as the scans indicate, made us to retreat. The problem is, that the beast started smashing the ground, thus opening it, revealing pools of pure phazon. The Ghosts easily escaped, but I... I fell into a corruption pool. This is one of the times I felt real fear. I felt how Phazon entered into my mouth... How I swallowed it. I panicked. I believed that was going to be my tomb again, but then, a hand pulled me out of the pool, and saved me. I could not recognize whose was that hand, because I promptly fainted.

Weeks later I woke up... I could not see right, due to my long sleep. At the beggining I felt sick and dizzy, although I felt I was laying down in the floor. I could not percieve anything, just a blurry sight, and a tickling feeling. Some seconds passed, and my sight started to get clearer, and the tickling feeling got stronger. I now realized I was looking toward the cloudy sky. It was raining, so now I could feel the drops of water falling in my face. I also noticed I had my power suit unequipped. I felt weak, almost unable to move. The tickling feeling puzzled me. I realized that the female ghost was licking my abdomen. For a moment I could not believe it. When she noticed I woke up, she stopped. I looked at her surprised. My abdomen glowed blue. I tried to clean it, thinking that it was saliva, but I noticed it was glowing from the inside. The female babbled something, and I could just distinguish one word: "Inside" The Phazon was within me now. And due to the long sleep, the Phazon could reproduce faster. I was now approximately between stage 3 and stage 4 of corruption. I already had the cloaking ability that characterizes Ghosts. And my body was mutating to pure energy.
