Yasuo Inoue (born 1969 in Hikone, Japan) is a Japanese designer working for Nintendo. A graduate of Kyoto Seika University, Inoue has been employed with the company since 1991.[1] His first project for Nintendo was in the design of Metroid II: Return of Samus. He was a character artist for F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, although most of his contributions to Nintendo's games were in the designing of logos, artwork and manuals. He contributed to the package and manual design of Metroid: Zero Mission.

Inoue's personal interests include soccer and the TV show Space Battleship Yamato.
